Despite the promise that all the paperwork and payments would be ready for the 15th there was a delay somewhere in the postal system between UK and France, which meant that the Notaire did not have all he required for the final signing.
So, the new date for completion is Monday 19th June (no mention of which year but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it is 2006!).
I shall be flying back to the UK next Wednesday to assist Matt and Marc with the furniture run back to France. We are booked on the night ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre (LD Lines) on Friday, hope to arrive in Lascazeres late Saturday, unload on Sunday, with the boys driving back on Monday/Tuesday.
The weather here (near St Gaudens) has been great up till today, 33+ in the shade, 42+ in the sun! Now it’s raining with occasional thunderstorms, just as we were looking forward to a weekend of lazing in the garden again.
